Umpire Expectations
- Arrive to the umpiring office 15 minutes before your allocated game time, to allow yourself time to sign in and check nails/ jewellery.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance, including having your hair tied back, and wearing the appropriate umpiring uniform (a white umpiring polo top, with neat white or black bottoms).
- Give your best effort in every game, which includes running (not walking) on court, being professional and building rapport with players, spectators, mentors and your fellow umpire, blow your whistle with confidence, umpire the game consistently, and ensure your calls are fair and impartial.
- Keep up-to-date with the netball rules (and rule interpretations), and ask the umpiring team for further clarification if you have any questions.
